Volunteers Against CMP Corridor Blanket the State with Yes on 1 Signs from Presque Isle to Kittery
STATEWIDE – Over 150 volunteers blanketed the state with Yes on 1 signs last night in a massive grassroots effort to promote a YES vote on Question 1, the referendum initiated by more than 80,000 Mainers to reject the CMP Corridor. Only 42 days remain until the November 2nd election.
“We’ve had volunteers helping to distribute lawn signs to supporters in every county of the state all summer, sometimes barely able to keep up with the requests,” said Volunteer Coordinator Cara Sacks. “Over 150 dedicated Mainers participated last night, blanketing the state with Yes on 1 to Reject the CMP Corridor signs from Presque Isle to Kittery. Mainers aren't fooled by CMP and Hydro-Quebec's deceptive ad campaign, and they'd like to spread the word that on November 2, we will finally have a say on the fate of this incredibly destructive project. If you're sick of CMP spending tens of millions to promote this project while ranking last in the country for customer satisfaction, please help us spread the word that a 'YES' vote on Question 1 stops the CMP Corridor."
